In this diagram you can clearly see that under full throttle operation the clear path to each half of the engine is maintained. All 6 cylinders will receive a proper air flow and proper air/fuel ratio. It would be better if all six cylinder had the same distance from the carburetor. But in order to accomplish this you'd need multiple carburetors, say three separate manifolds and 3 carburetors. Since that is not the manifold we have, this will have to do and this is the best configuration for this type of manifold. Mileage and performance will be best in this configuration as the diagram illustrates.
